Summary: The property was in excellent condition and the rooms were a great size. However, for the price we paid we expected a higher level of service. We never met anyone working at the Inn. There was no room cleaning during our stay. There was no breakfast service (although this was advertised on Expedia site) and the muffins served instead were not of good quality and while snacks were offered (chips and granola bars) there were no non-gluten choices.

Summary: Pros: Location, old world charm, quiet. Cons: Advertised as including breakfast. That is not available at this time. Was given a $25 per person discount per day. (you should ask). Room was quiet but if someone is in the adjoining room you can hear everything. Air conditioning was fantastic but not controllable. Bed was comfortable but felt used. No daily room service. One available plug on each side of the bed. Bathroom has the original fixtures which is charming. However, if you can't lift your legs 2 feet high to step into the extremely narrow shower you will have a problem. Tub sloped towards the rear so I always felt like I was balancing standing up. Plenty of hot water although the shower head needs repair. Limited soap supples but I probably could have had more if I asked. There is a person on premises but you have to call on the phone to get her. Coffee and store bought muffins are set out in the morning. No creamer though if you need that. The gardens are beautiful but the mosquitos are plenty. They provide spray to use but I still got bitten. Some bottles of OK wine are put out in the afternoon.

Summary: A huge part of the history of Columbus and a classic historic property. Obviously the gardens are spectacular! And so close to many of Columbus’ architectural marvels.

Summary: The converted house to a B and B is exquisite. It’ is also an intricate part of the history of Columbus being a premier architectural city. Both Columbus and the Inn at Irvin Gardens are a must see.

Summary: At the last minute, we requested an early check-in and Fran, the innkeeper graciously granted our request. We were greeted by her upon our arrival. We enjoyed the cocktail hour complimentary bottle of wine as we relaxed a bit before dinner at a local restaurant. So far we are enjoying our stay here at the Inn at Irwin Gardens. Looking forward to the Totality in the Gardens event later today.
